Originally built in 1927, Missouri Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s aging facility demanded new electrical, plumbing, heating, and life safety systems that would meet today’s strict building codes. A renovation and expansion was necessary to bring the chapter house into the 21st century. Highlights of their capital fundraising campaign include:
-
Develop a Residential Learning Community, including study lounges and office/conference space available for the Missouri Alpha Faculty Fellow
-
Installed the mandatory fire/safety features by adding fire suppression and fire alarm systems throughout the entire house to meet the requirements set forth by governmental authorities
-
Installed up-to-date and efficient heating, electrical, and plumbing systems
-
Installed data ports to allow for broadband Internet access, install wireless Internet throughout the chapter house
