The project floor plans and perspectives reflect a particular emphasis on providing generousand quality study space for today’s generation of the Gamma Pi Delta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Iowa State University. Group study space has been added to the facility in addition to a larger classroom and group meeting space throughout the facility.
The group sleeping dorms were retained. The chapter also retained an outside courtyard feature and a smaller front courtyard as these have been popular features at the Gamma Pi Shelter over the years.
They replaced the 1950s-era architecture with a style that more closely blends with the other facilities in the Greek triangle area at Iowa State. The exterior of the building makes a bold statement about the strength and quality of Gamma Pi Deltas at Iowa State. Their goal is to provide a high-quality, long-lasting facility with a live-in capacity of 64 brothers to establish their competitiveness and legacy within the Greek community at Iowa State University.
