The Kappa Zeta House Corporation and Campaign Executive Committee have developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Chi Omega experience at Texas Tech. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that renovating and updating our chapter lodge is necessary to meet the needs of today’s students and to remain competitive on campus. Working with several contactors to address our needs, the Kappa Zeta House Corporation has developed a tactical approach to our future. The project highlights below and plans outlined on the following pages are designed to enhance the educational, personal, and professional experiences offered by membership in Chi Omega.
-
Address mandatory life and safety issues with fire sprinklers and full compliance with code specifications
-
Install a new roof to prevent further leakage and damage to the facility
-
Provide a new security system and replace the surrounding fence to aid in the safety of our members entering and exiting their home
-
Replace carpet, update furnishings, and repaint rooms to keep our home competitive and updated
-
Make basic site improvements, including but not limited to the parking lot and sprinkler system
